Centre Manager Sarnia Walker has worked for Tok for the past five years, and together with front desk receptionists Melissa Bairstow and Chloe Ballard, they take pride in their roles as faces of not just Tok Corporate Centre, but the many businesses they represent .

Sarnia and Chloe both hail from a five-star hospitality background – which Sarnia says has brought invaluable skills to their current roles: “from learning to think on your feet in extremely busy situations, to immaculate grooming”. Similarly, Melissa’s background was in customer service.

The team ensure at least two staff are always manning reception and taking your clients’ calls at any one time. For conferences, Melissa and Chloe will organise your room bookings and set up, plus greet your clients. Martene Harvey is putting 20 years of health industry experience to excellent use in her new business - Frontline Health Recruitment.

Beginning her career as a dietitian before clocking up 13 years experience in health-related roles in Switzerland, Martene most recently worked as a regional sales manager for healthcare company Abbott Laboratories .

Martene’s various roles had encompassed staff recruitment, so when the opportunity came up last October to run her own business, she bought Frontline Recruitment’s franchise rights to Melbourne’s health sector.

Covering recruitment right across the health field, she finds qualified staff for services including pharmaceutical, hospital, rehabilitation and aged care – from nurses and physiotherapists to speech pathologists, to sales and marketing, administration and managerial staff.

Martene chose a Tok Corporate Centre suite as her company’s home, as she needed a corporate workplace to present a corporate image: “I needed a corporate place to bring both clients and candidates to, which looks more professional than a home office.”

“I have lots of calls coming through, so rather than being interrupted and have to drop what I am doing, or have calls go to voicemail, its great to know that clients are properly tended to,” she said. “Reception also provides a nice welcome when a client/candidate enters the building, as the girls are great and really friendly. It’s important, because really, they are the face representing my company too.”
